My Inspiron 1721 shuts down on its own

My Inspiron 1721 shuts down automatically while I am typing. It only does it when I type very quickly. If I type slowly, it doesn't do it. I even opened notepad to test if it was a certain key and it's not. It only happens if I type quickly. The laptop is less than a week old.

How can i connect my dell inspiron 1721 to my tv samsung led

If your Samsung TV has a VGA input then connect a VGA cable to the TV and the other end of this cable to the video port on your Dell laptop. Turn on your TV and select the VGA (computer) input then boot up your Dell laptop.and then the video data from the laptop will automatically divert to the TV.
You can toggle between the TV and laptop LCD screen by holding down on the Fn key and press the F8 key.

ThMy Dell inspiron b120 couldn't shut down?

Stuck process. Use Ctrl-Alt-Del to see what is not responding, kill the process.

Try disabling startup programs. Go to Start > Run (search in Win 7) and type MSConfig. In Startup tab, uncheck anything that you don't want Windows to load automatically. It will make Windows boot faster and use less resources while running. This just disables them in startup. Programs will still load, but when only you initiate.

I have a Dell inspiron 1721. The screen is dim ... when I try to adjust the brightness it won't adjust any brighter than it already is and makes some type of humming noise at the settings in the middle. ...

Try attaching an external monitor to the laptop & see if you could get any display on it. If this is successful, then you might have either a faulty LCD cable or screen inverter board.
The LCD cable transfers data signal from the motherboard & video card to the LCD screen. It also supplies high voltage DC power to the screen inverter board. The screen inverter board works as a power supply for the backlight lamp mounted inside the LCD screen. It converts low voltage DC power to high voltage AC power needed for the backlight lamp

You need to reinstall the audio driver, if you need to, you can download the drivers from Dell WEB site, the support download page. Make sure you select your model laptop, better still, type in the Service Tag number, it is printed on the label on the bottom of the laptop. This will open the page where the specific drivers for your model laptop are located. Also make sure you select the Windows XP or Vista version of the driver for your Windows operating system.
