Sony CRT TV not switching on power on LED keeps blinking

When tV is switched on switchin on sound comes , red LED keeps blinking but TV doesnt power on

It never stops blinking;. I had the tv connected more than 1 hour and the power led always flashing..:(

How many times do this standby LED blinks at one time switch on? These blinks are fault indications. From the number of these blinks, you can get an idea about the faulty section circuit inside. SOURCE: Sony Trinitron Wega TV keeps shutting off and red

There are two Ic's that need replacing on the Deflection Board (D) board.. These regulate power for the High Voltage and Chopper PWM circuits. The IC location on the board are IC6501 and IC8002

Check 470 uF 450 V in the power supply. I don't know if the chassis is the AE-5, but I had a similar case and the capacitor was bad.

Hi, this is main board failure and you will need to replace this vital board. you power board is fine but, it is unable to send a proper current through the main mother board due to the damage at hand.

SOURCE: When I switch on my Sony Trinitron Tv , it won't

take your tv to a repairing shop and let your technician check the power supply section is not producing an ht to trigger the line transformer, in turn various voltages will be produced, which will open up your tv.

These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. sound like problem with regulated parts block.....and can more helpfull if you count the blinking of the LED....sony have selft diagnostic at the LED Blinking.....
