I have problem in the vista sound i can't hear sound "no audio output device is installed" how can solve?

Hi,
You can download and reinstall the drivers for your audio card. you can check your device manager if the device is installed correctly or not.

* Click on the windows key (between the Ctrl and Alt Key) and the
* Pause Break key to open windows properties.
* Device manager would be on theleft side of the screen.
* Click on it then check the audio driver.
* You can right click on the audio driver then choose update driver.

Iam running xp2 my notherboard is pm800-m2 i found out that there is no sounds even i go to dxdiag to run sound testing but no to avial...i wonder if u could help what driver should i install this...

Most probably the audio/sound devices drivers are not properly installed or check your CMOS Bios to see the on board devices Audio devices is "ENABLED"!!

Check your "Devices Manager" to confirm whether your Audio devices for the motherboard is properly or correctly installed. Ensured that your speaker is properly plug into the correct output port.

If you do need the Audio drivers for your ECS motherboard, you can download the from the ECS Site.

Hope it helps.

Can not get sound to work

Check the "Device Manager" -> Sound, video and game controllers just to see your sound device is properly installed.
To get the sound you have to install the sound drivers correctly and plug your speakers to the correct sound output. If your sound is HD, you have the install "Microsoft UAA Bus Driver for High Definition Audio" drivers first before installing the sound drivers.

Hope it helps.

I lost the sound on my computer

click on start then RIGHT click on my computer(xp) or computer (vista/7) then click on manage then click on device manager on the top of left of the computer management screen.

On the top right window will appear a list of all devices on your computer. Check that the sound card has no yellow exclamations marks on it and that it is functioning correctly. If you see a error with it then simply right click on it and click uninstall or remove. Restart the pc and see if it works if it still isnt functioning correctly you should go to hp and download the audio drivers for your pc

they can be found here

No sound on pc all drivers ok but no sound cannot highlight sound device

Go to Device Manager by typing devmgmt.msc in Start--> Run .In the device manager go to Sound and Audio Devices , look that there is no question mark sign present there. If so then your sound drivers were installed correctly. Then go to Control Panel -- > Sound and Audio devices, open it and the check whether you can find any sound device drivers installed. If everything is fine, problem is with the Sound Card or Speakers.

Audio

Have you checked your device manager? Make sure you have installed the right driver for you computer. I suggest you try to upgrade drivers for your computer first, then visit HP's website to check if there's any firmware upgrade for you machine. Feel free to visit DigitalSupportTech for getting help.

No sound driver working on my gateway notebook pc

Did you check the Device Manager, the audio driver, has it a yellow ? against it or is it OK and enabled? If it is has the MUTE button been ticked?
If it has a yellow ? against the audio driver then the correct audio driver was not installed. Go to the Gateway Support/download page to download the correct XP driver for your model laptop's audio device and install it.
If the sound still doesn't work check Device Manager to see if the driver was installed and working.

No Sound

ATI is the graphics card developer. Your motherboard has onboard audio that appears to be Realtek. You should not have an ATI sound driver... as they don't exist.

I'm assuming you're using WinXP to make thing simple. If you're using Vista, try to do the equivalent.

Since your graphics card is capable of HDMI, the problem could be that the card expects to output audio through your graphics card rather than the sound card. Check start -> Control Panel -> Sounds and audio. -> Sounds and Audio Devices /or/ Adjust Speaker Settings -- go to the Audio tab and make sure it says Realtek for output. If it shows more than one output device, set it to realtek. If it doesn't show realtek, follow the below instructions, and then double check at the end that the Output device is set to Realtek.

1>Please go to HP's site and download their Audio drivers.
2>Go to Device manager -> Sound, Video, and game controllers.
2.1> Does it have an entry saying "Realtek blah blah Audio" there? If not, what entries does it have for audio? Ignore Audio Codecs and Legacy Audio Drivers.
2.2>If there's nothing there, you need to install the drivers you downloaded. If there is something there, please continue to #3.
2.3>After installing the driver, restart computer.
2.4>Once computer is restarted, go start -> Control Panel -> Sounds and audio. -> Sounds and Audio Devices /or/ Adjust Speaker Settings. Hit the button labeled Advanced and adjust the speaker setup to whatever you have - surround sound, 5.1, quad, stereo, whatever.
2.5> Go to #5
3> If there is anything that says Realtek/Azalia Audi, right click it and Uninstall.
3.1> Restart computer.
4>Install audio driver you downloaded, and perform #2.4.
5>Find the driver icon (there's probably on in the task tray) or find it under start -> Control Panel -> Sounds and audio. Set your speaker settings there as well. Audio I/O should specify what ports go to what speakers What you set in windows should match the Realtek audio manager's speaker setup.

If problem persists, please report this.
