We had a power blackout now my panasonic genius microwave is stuck on demo mode. How do I get it off demo mode?Is it fried or fixable?

    Thanks for the reply but I've already tried turning off then turning on. Still on demo mode!
    I think it's fried!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DEMO MODE ON/OFF
Demo mode is designed for retail store display. In this mode, the oven can be demonstrated with no power in the oven.

On the "Timer/Clock: button:

4 taps ON The oven is in Demo mode.

4 more taps OFF The oven is not in Demo mode.

Hi sorry to hear whats happened.....but very simple solution.....
turn power switch off for a few sec and then turn on again....this will reset ur microsoft to factory setting like it was when u got it from the store....just follow manual instruction if needed.....this will solve ur problem for sure

Why does it stay on demo mode?
Once a unit is in demo or showroom mode, it will stay and not exit. It doesn't matter if it's unplugged or not. Look in user manual and see if it list how to exit. Good luck!

How do I get out of demo mode/
  • Push the "Clock" key underneath the "Warm" key on the control panel three times.

  • Check that the display shows the time, then program the microwave to cook food as desired.
