You need to back everything up onto a memory card or onto Nokia PC Suite and do a reset by pressing *#7780#. I had exactly the same problem and that solved it.

Good luck!!

Hi Ihad same problem and have now found a solution:
    1) Go into messaging
    2) new message
    3)text message
    4)options
    5)sending options
6)Make sure these settings are present:
Message centre in use MOBILENET SMSC, Character encoding REDUCED SUPPORT, receive report NO , Message validity TIME, message sent as TEXT, reply via same centre YES. Try this , it should work , if not put another sim into your phone and send a message , then take that sim out and put your sim back in and it should now be able to send messages.

    Cheers

Failure to send message

Dial *#7370# from youre phone...enter the lock code, which generally is 1234... it restores the phone completely... Also, make sure that you save everything as back up because youll lose all your data when you restore your phone. It works. GoodLuck.

It is necessary to format your phone, because system files regarding your phone boot sector seems got corrupted. There is not enough room in your RAM it leads to your phone at this status. Take important data backup, remove MMC and enter the press four keys i.e. 3.*,green send key and power on key together for sometime and hold it for sometime. Your phone screen will indicate "FORMATING". Your phone will get formatted, then switch off and on it again as usual . Remember to scan your MMC with a good anti virus before inserting it back in phone. During formating don't remove battery and do this process only with enough charged battery. You will be able to send your message then. Do vote this solution....
