My fiance purchased a pair of P1 RF speakers and their matching amplifier. when he hooked them up in our car everything worked well. we unhooked everything and then ran all the wires and re-hooked everything back up, and suddenly we could no longer get power to the amp. he played with the wires and the ground wire for a couple of hours and checked and re-checked the fuse before giving up. there were no unusall noises pops or smells of burning. What happend? Why will are amp not work?

Well let me see i can bet something happened so what happened??? i bet the amp is not working right? hahaha here's my sign right!!! all right enough fun. is the light on the amp coming on? you might also need to turn the key all the way to the run position, if not wired exactly right then amp will only power up when vehicle is running or key is in the run position i need to know this before we really go any further. let me know so i can get you up and running quickly.

Can i run 4 rf r165x3 speakers which are 4 ohm to a pg 250.2 amp if so how to wire them to 2 ohm

If it can handle 2 ohm you can run in a pair. Hook one up to a channel then use a speaker wire from that one ( positive & negative) to the other + & -

Behringer Xenyx 1622FX - How do i get a passive stage monitor to work?

You need to send your signal from the mixer to an amplifier and then go from the amp to your speakers.

Alternatively, buy a pair of active speakers.

I have an Onkyo TXNR609 home theater receiver hooked up to a 6 speaker surround sound setup in the living room. I also have 2 speaker pairs outside - one on the downstairs patio and one upstairs. I was...

If you haven't done already, then verify that zone 2 works without the selector. If the speakers definitely work and the zone output definitely works then the speaker selector must be the culprit! It's pretty difficult to mess up the wiring with speakers, as even if polarity is reversed, you will still hear something.

Purchased 2 used sonance sonamp 260 for homewide speaker system (12 pair).line out from receiver into first amp powering first 8 pair.line out from first amp into second amp powers remaining 4pair.only...

I am assuming you are using the standard sonamp 260 not a 260x3
and that when you say you are getting sound on only 1 pair that means only on 1 side (left or right channel only?)

Are using a speaker selector box? you must to regulate the resistance (ohms)

if so first unhook all but on pair of speakers and see if both channels are working.

if they do your problem is in the speaker selector not the amp if no then check to see what the amp level is set to. These are the two small holes on the front right of amp make sure they are set about equal at around half way up.

If that doesn't work flip the RCA cables coming to the amp perhaps you have a bad cable if that doesn't work make sure your receiver (source) is outputing a stereo signal to begin with.

lastly 8 sets of speakers off 1 amp? that's pushing it.even with a high quality Niles or speakercraft selector that controls the resistance going to an amp I wouldn't go past 5 sets.

The right way to do it would be to use 260x3 or a sonance or speakercraft 12 channel amp.

I wish to control volume on 4 pairs of speaks at 4 different locations please

What you will need is an autoformer based speaker selector with volume control for 4 speaker pairs. This will take the left and right speaker wire out from your amplifier and distribute it to 4 pairs of speakers. Each pair of speakers gets it own volume control so you can control each room sound independently. It will also do speaker impedance matching so that your amplifier is not being over driven by the 4 pairs of speakers. The manual for the product you purchase will aid you in the proper settings of the auto former control. You can find this product from companies like Russound or Niles.

Factory stero to amp

If the amplifier has inputs for a high level signal, you unhook the wires going into the speaker and plug them into the amp, then hook the outputs up to the speakers. If the amp only has rca inputs, you need to also buy a line level converter. Then you unhook the speakers, hook the wires up the the converter, then hook the converter up to the amp, then hook the amp up to the speakers.

Please leave good feedback!

Power Acoustik TS620-2 Amplifier

Check the wiring at the speakers themselves. It's possible that while you were moving the box one of the speaker wires came loose and shorted against the other terminal. A shorted speaker wire or damaged speaker will cause the amplifier to go into protect mode. If you have a digital multimeter with a resistance feature, you can test the resistance between the positive and negative terminals for each speaker.
