Question about Refrigerators
The unit is filled with amonia , and when you smell it that signals the begining of the end for the unit.No amonia no cooling.as far as level it must be level while parked but while going down the road this isnt a problem. Be prepared to replace the fridge or the cooling unit soon..

Thats because yoiu have a amonia system thats why they say to keep it level to opoerate properly. the smell may be a leak from where someone punctured the evaporator.
