SOURCE: video on an asus A8V-E deluxe motherboard

When you rightclick on MY COMPUTER then choose MANAGE, in the device manager, do you have another display controller appearing? if so, then you only have to install the drivers you've got with your new card, then in DISPLAY from the control panel, you will have to go to the SETTINGS tab and lightly move the second diplay then it will ask you if you want to activate it.
if there is no other display controller in the DEVICE MANAGER you should try to reboot and access the bios in witch you will found an option for selecting the first display controller to be used. so, choose PCI, and save, then reboot.

SOURCE: For ASUS A8V-MX Motherboard which graphics card should use

This Motherboard has onboard VGA, but if you want to upgrade the expansion slot is a AGP. so you will have to purchase a AGP VGA card. ATi or Nvidia would be good enough.

SOURCE: does ASUS P4P800 deluxe support high density memories

Here is a link to Asus' Qualified Vendor List of RAM modules for your motherboard. I do not see it mention high density RAM. You would need to search the specs on the modules recommended to be sure.

ASUS QVL

In case you don't have the manual, here is a link for it too:

ASUS P4P800 Deluxe Manual

Memory info begins on Page 2-10. Again, there is no mantion of HD modules.

Audio driver
You'll need to go to the Realtek website

Click The Downloads button at the top of the page.
Click the High Definition Audio Codecs (Software) link
Tick "I accept the above" then wait for the page to update then click Next.
You will now see a page of files available for download, at the top of this list is..

Vista, Windows7 Driver (32/64 bits) Driver only (ZIP file)R2.37 2009/11/20 38690k

Click on the first Go link for Site 1 and download the ZIP file.
Once complete, extract all the files from it and run the setup.exe file.
Run through the installation and it will ask you to reboot.
You now have sound !
Graphics drivers
As this motherboard was manufactured way before Windows 7 was released there may not be compatible Windows 7 VGA drivers for it.
If you go here there is a list of drivers or this board but none of them support Windows 7.
Try downloading the ASUS K8V VM Video driver for Windows XP, it may work.

Ge force 9500gt, 512mb, ddr2 compatible with asus a7n8x deluxe

The ASUS A7N8X only supports AGP8X, the 9500GT is PCI Express. There is no way the 9500GT will work with this board.

HP intel dc5100 Intel Video Driver required windows seven

Hi

The motherboard in this PC does not seem to support Windows 7.

See here for confirmation:

http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/DriverDownload.jsp?prodNameId=447280&lang=en&cc=us&taskId=135&prodSeriesId=454811&prodTypeId=12454

Since windows 7 has a large database of drivers built-in, most of the devices on the motherboard may have found compatible drivers in the Win 7 Driver Database, with the exception the on-board graphics.

The best option is to upgrade to a dedicated Windows 7 compatible PCI Express graphics card, which you can easily install to bypass the on-board graphics.

A dedicated graphics card will also free up system memory previously borrowed by the on-board graphics.

Hope this helps.

Is there a driver for V8420 Delux Graphic Card for windows 7 ?

Hi,

No. Drivers for this card were released up to XP.

This card is built on an NVidia GeForce 8 series chip. You can try the latest driver pack for GEForce 8, I don't know if it will work.

Here link.

You did not list the card specs (AMD/Nvidia model) for reference. If you don't have a card currently get the best AGP 8x card you can find. Keep in mind that that with that CPU a higher end card will probably bottleneck so don't go crazy. Some web consensus is a geforce 5500. Possibly a Radeon 7000 series for higher frames.

Doesnt support graphics

Sounds like you need to allocate more RAM to the on-board graphics. Allocate at least 128MB.

These folks did a benchmark using Halo among other software, so it should work.
http://www.digital-daily.com/motherboard/via_vs_ati/index3.htm

But the on-board graphics performance on your board is quite poor - you should consider getting a decent AGP graphics card instead of using the on-board graphics for gaming.
