When you rightclick on MY COMPUTER then choose MANAGE, in the device manager, do you have another display controller appearing?
if so, then you only have to install the drivers you've got with your new card, then in DISPLAY from the control panel, you will have to go to the SETTINGS tab and lightly move the second diplay then it will ask you if you want to activate it.
if there is no other display controller in the DEVICE MANAGER you should try to reboot and access the bios in witch you will found an option for selecting the first display controller to be used.
so, choose PCI, and save, then reboot.

This Motherboard has onboard VGA, but if you want to upgrade the expansion slot is a AGP. so you will have to purchase a AGP VGA card. ATi or Nvidia would be good enough.

Here is a link to Asus' Qualified Vendor List of RAM modules for your motherboard. I do not see it mention high density RAM. You would need to search the specs on the modules recommended to be sure.
ASUS QVL
In case you don't have the manual, here is a link for it too:
ASUS P4P800 Deluxe Manual
Memory info begins on Page 2-10. Again, there is no mantion of HD modules.

Graphics drivers
As this motherboard was manufactured way before Windows 7 was released there may not be compatible Windows 7 VGA drivers for it.
If you go here there is a list of drivers or this board but none of them support Windows 7.
Try downloading the ASUS K8V VM Video driver for Windows XP, it may work.
