System is frozen

It turns on and off but nothing else works - it's frozen.  I can't even retrieve the CDs that are already in the player.

Main screen is frozen immediately when I turned it on

Try doing this: Toggle the hold switch and put it back in the off position. Then press and hold the center button and the menu button simultaneously for ten seconds and the apple symbol should come up on the screen. Then it should work like normal. Hope this helps!

My recorder/plaer is frozen in the on position,

Ensure the key lock is not activated by sliding
"Power on/off ( )/Hold" towards the center
position. If your player isn’t already on, turn it on by
sliding "Power on/off ( )/Hold" to the left
and holding until the player turns on.

If this does not work, reset the player by removing/reinserting the battery.
