My Bissell Healthy Home Vacuum brush roller won't spin. I can see the belt isn't moving when I turn it on to vacuum carpet. If the belt is broken, how do i open it to replace it? The screws look more like tiny grommets deep inside. There has to be an easy way to open/replace the belt right?
Find the brush belt where it is connected to the brush roller and check to be certain the belt is set up on the roller toward one side and on a metal axle on the opposite end. Verify whether the belt is free, split, or loosened up. This will make the roller not turn as it should.
As Bissell vacuum is used as one of the best vacuums for pet hair, the roller issue gets hair, yarn, or different flotsam and jetsam folded over it, sticking it up. To get your stuck brush roller working once more, find the level plate on the base of your vacuum cleaner. Expel the screws that safe the plate to the vacuum cleaner, at that point evacuate the screws and the plate. Force one finish of the roller upward, away from the vacuum cleaner, and slip the belt off the roller. The roller should wake up from its position when you give it a pull.
Adjust the roller properly, associate the belt to the shaft that turns the belt, and fitting the power line in. With the vacuum cleaner as yet lying in a position where you will have the option to see the roller brush, turn on the vacuum cleaner to be certain the belt is presently working as it should. The brush roller ought to turn. At long last, unplug the vacuum cleaner once more, supplant the plate and the fastens that hold the plate spot, and you are prepared to work your vacuum cleaner.

Bissell Customer Service,
I have checked the online Bissell Auth. Service Center list & closest one is 80+ miles away. This is much too far to spend in gas/time.
I'll try to review the troubleshooting steps list & contact Bissell if it still doesn't work.
Well, I called Bissell Customer Service because the vacuum still won't work on carpets (works fine otherwise but makes a noise when I try to engage the brush to do carpet. The cust. service rep. was rude, degrading, & told me that I should just "throw the vacuum away" & that it "could not be fixed". I stated it was not feasible to drive 160 miles round-trip to drop it off @ the closest service center & he said it "couldn't be fixed". I will never purchase another Bissell product again & will ensure I tell others of the awful customer service received. I've owned other vacumms & never had any issue w/them (gave them away to others when I saw better models come out). Had I known how awful this would perform, I never would have bought it. Greatly disappointed as a consumer.
