SOURCE: I just replaced the belts on my Necchi 535FA, but

If the belts are not tight enough they will slip, they should all be fairly tight but not like a piano string if you know what I mean.
As you do not describe what the machine is doing wrong I can not really say any more at present, except make sure there is no oil on the belts and the machine has no tight spots when you turn it over by hand.

SOURCE: I've got a Necchi 535FA with a bobbin thread that doesn't hook.

Sounds to me like you may have put the needle in backwards. The flat side should be to the back.

SOURCE: will a NECCHI 535FA sew denim jean material okay?

Use a heavy needle and a product called jean-a-majig from Joann fabrics and you will be fine, just make sure you use the correct needle as this is key
