I got this D'Link from work where it has been sitting for some time.Brought it home after purchasing a macbook. I've never set up wireless before and this is my first laptop. I don't have the start up disc but I did connect the macbook through ethernet to the Dl-514 and did the set up wizard at 192.168.0.1. The macbook just doesn't read the wireless signal. I've taken it to work where it reads wireless fine and it reads other signals from around the neighborhood, but I think this D'Link might be faulty. I've played with the network settings in the macbook and have also tried reseting the router. Any help?
Perhaps the reason it has been sitting around at work for some time is that someone just didn't have the heart to throw it away after it went afoul?
Try resetting the thing by removing power, pressing in the little reset button on the back, holding that button in whilst re-applying power. Hold it in for 30 seconds after you plug it back in. That should cause the unit to reset.

D-Link somteimes connect but it frequently fails to connect my macbook. I can better take signal from the neighbours then from my router!
What is the best key to use WPE, WPA-PSK, WPA2-PSK (AES), which option should I take? And are there special options for macbook OSX 10.5.7?
