Try cleaning the condenser radiator.

Sounds like the compressor is trying to start. Shut it off overnight. Try re-starting. If it still clicks you'll need a service call.

I thoguht I had posted the solution. repeating now ask for estimates/ inference from thre persons and deccide for only low cost of repair. If your fridge is more than 5 years old do not proceed specially if the pumping of the compressor is down. Go for a good exchange with a the modern enerrgy effficient models as you can choose from good economic/ luxury ranges and give you about 5-7 years warranty.Invest Well. Good Luck

Move the refrigerator to a room that is at least 50 degrees F.

Temps on most refrigerators are regulated by the fresh foods temp. If your garage is let's say 35 degrees, the fresh foods temp will most likely never raise enough to turn the refrigerator on. With the refrigerator never running, the freezer compartment will warm to 35 degrees, resulting in everything melting. Even if garage is a bit warmer, say 45, the refrig will not run long enough for the freezer to maintain a low enough temperture. If the garage temp falls to below freezing, say 20 degrees, the food in the fresh foods compartment will freeze. (outdoor beverage dispensers have internal heaters to prevent product from freezing !) Clean the refrigerator thoroughly fresh food and freezer under all drawers. Then place charcoal briquettes in each 8 or 10 total. 4 or 5 in the bottom of the fresh food section. leave the for several days. If that doesnt take away the smell consider if a mouse may have gotten into a fan blade and well that can create a really bad smell.

Your refrigerator needs to be turned off and aompletely defrosted. Overnight if possible. You have a large amount of ice built up on the freezer coil that is blocking air flow.
Most refrigerator sections are only cooled by air flow from the fan in the freezer section.
Thaw it and clean it out real good and you should be back in business.
