The Motorola SB5101 does not offer wireless connectivity. Because there is no WiFi - all wireless variables such as security settings, channels, SSID, etc. are not applicable.
The "ssid" is the broadcasted name of your router, if you have a computer or another device that picks up wireless signals it will show the "ssid," or name of your network, usually as the first option in the list of networks found.
If you have the following lights : Power light - on Receive light - flashing Send light - flashing Online light - off PC/Activity - on Standby - off Then your Network Access is OFF - modem is successfuly registered but Network Access Control is disabled via DOCSIS configuration file.
