Your phone is asking for a NP code because you have the wrong sim card in the phone.
Each phone when sold is programmed in to a certain network, this means that out of the box the phone will only work on one network. So for example if you buy a T-mobile phone, it won't allow you to use a Vodaphone sim card.
You can however get around this by "Unlocking" your phone, this is what the NP code is for. You can get your NP code from the network provider that the phone is from. So how do you get the NP code, well first you need the IMEI number (International Mobile Equipment Identity) to find this, either turn on your phone with no SIM card in and dial *#06# this will give you a 15digit number (It is sometimes on a sticker under the battery... sometimes).
This number is your IMEI number, so you now have too choices:
Choice number one: Ring your first network provider and ask them for the NP code, they will ask why you need it, tell them you are going abroad and want to use localised SIM cards in each country. They should give you it easily. Sometimes they can be a bit mean and not do it. You can ring and hope to get another nicer operator.
OR
Choice number two you can buy a code for a small fee from a website,
here is a link for you that I found. Please try option one first and save some money if possible.
I hope this helps.
