West Bend Quik Serve Toaster--bread slides through

West Bend Quik Serve Toaster-- the bread slides through without toasting. Tried following instructions in manual but nothing....
Brand new--purchased in late January--and barely used at all. Not a happy camper!

I contacted West Bend customer service, and they sent me a new toaster, which, so far, is working correctly. They told me to cut off the electric cord on the old one and discard it, which I did.

Your toaster might be broken or the part that allows the toast to pop up after it is done.You could turn the toaster off and m plug it to take the toast out.

Uneven or ragged edges on your toast can catch on the toast rack and prevent it from siding through on to the serving tray. Trim off any ragged edges.

Toast won't stay down when handle pushed down handle comes up immediately as if not plugged in. Plug definitely in. Used only 3 times.

take it back. sounds like the magnetic coil that holds the handle down when it is plugged in is not functioning.

Replacement parts for all West Bend Bread Machines (and other products) are available online at Focus Electrics, which now handles the West Bend line of products.

If you do not know what model of machine you have, the model number can be found in the middle of the sticker on the back of your machine. The number will be somewhere in the range of 41026 to 41200 and it may be followed by one or letters.
