capacitor problems in power supply or a regulater isolate the power suppley by disconecting the line output stage/unplug scan coils for example and run a 60w bulb as a dummy load one wire to earth and the other to rail voltage colecter of line output transister if the bulb glows steady the power supplys fine

I'm getting the exact same thing with a 26" model. First I found AV2 started carrying AV1's input so we put a switch in. Then it starts to shut off with the twice blinking light after viewing the scart input for a while. I'm currently trying feeding it scart set to composite rather than RGB to see if it'll stay on. One other thing - I just got a oneforall remote. I don't suppose you did - in case that is triggering something?
People are reporting a fault with the "painter" chip which is terminal usually. But that seems to manifest as the tv switching to scart input spontaneously. I haven't seen that.
Hope you get somewhere - I'll let you know if I find anything.

The image processor module has failed. Unless you have a good working experience with electronics then no, you can't replace it yourself, this is definitely a job for a pro.
