Olevia SyntaxBrillian 232-S12 (32"??). Everything was working perfectly & sound just quit. Nothing was changed. All known settings have been checked & all connections checked. Plugged Computer into TV = no sound through speakers. Have not tried external speakers yet (TV has built in speakers).

Connect a 75-ohm coaxial cable (or choice of Antenna Cable) from your cable or antenna to the TV's. VHF/UHF jack (RF Terminal). For 226 and 232 Models. Rear ...
In the remote, select the input as antenna. It might be now lying as some other input. Normally the TV itself searches for channels. If it is not, go to menu in the remote control, select install-auto and press ok.
Sounds like power board or main board. check with olevia support and give them your model number and explain your problem. a lot of these parts have lifetime warranties and the service call is free. hope this helps.
I have had the same problem with my daughters Olevia...232-S13 out of the blue ti just decides to not turn on...blue light lit where the on/off button located but no sound and no picture....i guess the saying "you get what you pay for" stands clear here.......very upsetting.....
Bill, did your tuner go out? I have had the same television for one year. We had a storm and our Buckeye cable went out. All the other tvs came back fine except for the room with the Olevia 232-S12. Everything works now except for the tuner. Cable came in and installed a converter box. Just wondered if you had the same problem (not the storm, but the tuner)
Juni,
You'll have to look it up by the remote you're using... Then by the brand of Tv you're trying to control.. try here.. http://www.remotecodelist.com/remotes/
If using HDMI cable change to RCA. It worked for me.
