SOURCE: I have an acer aspire 5315 and on start up it goes

This can be caused by a hardware failure (e.g. hard drive, etc.) or an operating system (OS) issue. Either way I would recommend taking it to a computer repair shop so they can diagnose the issue.
If its an OS issue most likely the cheapest way to fix it will be reloading the OS on a new hard drive(because its cheaper to buy a hard drive then have a company backup your data) then plug in your old hard drive to get access to your data.

SOURCE: Windows xp will not boot on my hp mini 110.Keeps

Try selecting Last Known Good Configuration, or Safe Mode, and use System Restore option to go back to a date where the system booted correctly.

If neither of these options work, then you need to try to get into Recovery Console:

  1. Insert the Windows XP CD into your CD drive and restart your computer. If you are prompted, select any options required to start (boot) from the CD.
  2. If you are prompted to Boot from CD, you need to change your Boot menu Order in BIOS or Setup to boot from CD before it boots from Hard Disk.
  3. When the text-based part of Setup begins, follow the prompts. Select the repair or recover option by pressing R.
  4. Type 1 to select C:\Windows
  5. When you are prompted, type the Administrator password. (usually blank, so just hit the Enter button on your keyboard.
  6. Type chkdsk /r (space between k and /) and press Enter.
  7. The process may seem to take a while and freeze at times, but it's working. Just allow it to finish on it's own. Once done, you can type exit, and press Enter. Remove the CD before the system starts up again.

SOURCE: Hi, My Samsung R580 I3 JBB2-US

Hi,
You can try go to Start - Control Panel - Power Options and check what you want computer do when you close the lid of your laptop. Fix that and restart laptop to apply the setting.
If the boot up not complete and restart by itself, in my opinon, there is something wrong on the start up process, could be hardware malfuctions, could be a software not compatible. Try check the start up process to see.(use Start- Run: msconfig)
If this happen often, you should call the Samsung customer services to find out. Laptop i3 should still under warranty.

Hope this will help.

The blue screen is just there it wont go to the menu

If you have done any updates or changed anythng recently,ie;change of cables, resoltion etc. Try a shut down using power button on tower and unplug. Plug back in and start in safe mode. Click "start" find "control panel", click on that to open. Find "device Manager", right click on that and open. Click on the box with + next to dispaly adaptors. You will get a drop down of you devices. Right click on the one you use and you should see "disable", if you see "enable" click on that. Click on the box with+ next to monitor. You should see a drop down ith your monitors.Right click on the one you want and, again you should see "disable" if you see "enable" click n that and exit. If either of those two things showed enable when you checked them and you enabled them you probably fixed your problem. Now restart your system normally. If it doesn't come back, shut down at front of computer and restart in "safe mode" again wait for widow to come up about system restore, now this is only if you have made recent changes o updates, Click on what is system restore and another window will come up. Read down until you see "start system restore" and click on it. This will take a couple of minutes. A window will come up and click on start restore. Your computer will perform restore and restart on it's own. After it restarts, give it a couple of minutes tillyou see a window with "system restore complete".

4. before you get into windows will be prompted to select an account, if you had an account, should see your account and an administrator account. select the administrator account to log in.
5. Once in windows under the administrator account proceed to reset your password as follows:.

Compaq Mini 110 Notebook won't start up

Hi, try starting your computer again; at the very begining, just before the DOS prompt ,or after will do. Press the F2 Button; you may be able to prompt a choice of (Start Options), if so then choose (1) Normal start, at first. Try again, using a different Start Option, if Normal start fail.
