My car is a 1989 chevrolet celebrity and i was driven it one day and my battery light start comin on blinkin on and off my car was still driven but the next day it would not start up my check engine light was on too i when to get another battery it is brand new and it would not start i turn the ignition and it jus make a tryin to start sound but it want turn over what do i do ? i have new sprak plug another thing i put a cd player in took the ert am-fm stereo radio out now my tail lights dont work my fuse keep blowin out i put a higher fuse in and it work but cd player broke and i put another one in and now it don't work any more what do i do?
Mcdevito75 here, The battery light indicates the charge the alternator is putting back into the battery, a regulator in the alternator allows only a certain amount of electricity to be built up. Sounds like the regulator in the alternator is shorted and draining the battrey, Have your repair shop test the alternator and replace.

1of all you have aproblem with your charging system,next you have shorted out 1 or more elect. circuits,do you have the basic mech.knoledge to tackle these problems?if not have someone who does help you or take it to a shop.
