Hi, My phone fell into a puddle. I immediately picked it up and wiped it off. It seemed to work fine. A few hours later when I went to use it was completely dead. Yikes - what do I need to do. Thanks
Sadly I think it is too late to help. If it had water inside, that probably shorted it out. However, in the future, you should take the battery out as soon as possible to prevent this.
If you want to try something, just let it dry completely and then try using it again. I doubt that this will do anything, but it might end up working.

do not turn it on while it's wet. place the phone in a bowl of rice which should **** out all of the moisture after leaving it there for a few hours. wipe off any additional moisture u can as well. then attempt to restart the phone.
some of the fluid from the wipes must have short circuited the keyboard! you may have to invest in a new keyboard and keep it away from water based wipes this time!
That happened to me and my htc touch hd the other day. I tuned it off, pulled the battery out and let it dry out completely. The touch screen didn't work until a few hours later. However when water happens to an electronic device it usually will need to be replaced. Just cross your fingers and hope for the best.
the screens have probably been damaged, i would try taking it to verizon so they can make sure and so that your phone doesnt get anymore problems from the puddle.
Put it in a ziplock bag of uncooked rice for several weeks. And make sure the battery is out of it. So put in the battery and phone but they should be apart.Ā
Sounds like you will need a new battery. My env2 would only work if plugged into the wall charger after I dropped it in the toilet. I got a new battery and it works fine now!
This is a known issue with the Rumor. If you take your phone into a sprint repair center or call technical support, they will most likely repair or replace it for free.
first thing you should have done is remove the battery immediately. The battery with water will fry the phone. The phone needs to dry out. I have heard several people have good luck by putting the phone in a bag of rice for 3 days. Rice will remove the moisture. Give it a try and good luck!
