Adding on again: I have interchanged speakers, if i connect any speaker on the right front channel it will not work. When I do a automated speaker test only right front channel does work.
if yes then look under ballance and check theat rear and front ballance is in the middle if it is then for temporarily replace the front speaker with any old speaker if that works then you need new front speakers if no then the radio is broken
but what you could do is rewire the back speakers so they also play though the front ones too this can be done from behind the radio
find the rear right positive and negative wires strip the insulation but dont cut the copper wire cut the front right speaker and attach that to the rear speaker wire do this for both positive and negative
rear right positive ..v ..v I...I I...I I...I .I.I..........< strip cable but do not cut metal .I.I..______________ .I.I=_______________ <<<front right positive .I.I I...I I...I I...I I...I
Sounds like you are getting quad sound in the test process that checks them, yet when in windows media player or winamp (or whatever) your rear speakers aren't producing sound: Try setting your sound drivers to do something like "speaker fill" then you are set. I'm under the belief that stereo sounds aren't being matrixed into all 4 speakers.
