You must've done somethig wrong it cant happen by itself, once corrupted there's nothing you can do
but try formatting it with vista and that should work

Purchase a USB SD card reader and put your SD card in it and plug that into a USB port on your PC. You can then transfer your pictures to a new folder in your Pictures folder on your PC.

See Universal Memory Card reader: http://cgi.ebay.com/23-IN-1-USB-2-0-MEMORY-CARD-READER-CF-MS-XD-SD-/390284020936?pt=PCC_Drives_Storage_Internal&hash=item5adebd8cc8

After verifying the pictures transferred OK to your PC, place the SD card back into your phone and format it. Once formatted, you can transfer your pictures from your PC back to your SD card.

How do i transfer music from my computer to my palm treo 680? i have and sd card in my phone but it only allows me to download pics

format your sd card using your treo 680. then you insert your sd card to your laptop or into a card reader so you can transfer music files from your computer. create a folder to the main directory of your sd card and then rename it to "AUDIO". you may now save music files to that folder.
you can now play music files to your treo 680.

W490 wont read memory card

Hi, sykko_one, I have the exact same phone and was experiencing the same problems. After about a year of using my phone and storing music, pictures, videos, etc. on my phone it would suddenly stop working. Sometimes it would work, and sometimes I wouldn't be able to save or read any data on the memory card. What I did to fix it was completely remove the memory card from the phone and used a micro sd Tinpec card reader, picture here. You want the one that supports micro sd. You can find them on ebay or amazon. Then connect your micro sd card to your pc with the adapter and right-click the removable drive (might be drive e: or f:) and choose format. Leave the default options and format the disk. Make sure you've selected the right disk. To verify this you can open the drive and look at the contents, it should have a folder called "moble." Go ahead and format the drive. Then use chkdsk.exe from the command line to check the disk for errors. Syntax will look like "chkdsk f: /f" or "chkdsk e: /f" (depending on the drive letter assigned to your sd card reader.)

If the format and chkdsk do not work. try just deleting all the information from the card and copying some pictures and music files to it. If these copy successfully then I would assume the problem is with the firmware on your phone. Take the phone to a t-Mobile store and see if they can't re-load the firmware. And don't worry about deleting any data from your sd card, it will not affect the phone in any way, it will just delete whatever pictures music files you have stored on the card. So be sure to back those up first before you do anything. Hope this helps. -Rogueelite

My blackberry stopped working after i put a micro sd card in

I would be more concerned as to the source you chose for the music and pictures you loaded onto your micro sd card, as depending upon the KIND of music and pictures and the tendency of such sources as you chose to provide your system with viruses..........

Remove the SD card, immediately and get your phone scanned for viruses along with your PC given the fact that all are apparently infected.

Get pictures and video off phone to the computer

Preparation ? if an external Micro SD external memory card is to be used as the desired music/video/picture repository on the W755, install the card in the W755 behind the battery. Then go to SETTINGS & TOOLS ? MEMORY ? CARD MEMORY ? FORMAT and format the new card. Caution: reformatting the card will wipe out all contents on the SD card. Download/install free Motorolla Handset USB Driver Installer onto the PC (execute ?.msi? file). Download/install free VCast/Rhapsody software (no need to actually sign in or use the proprietary Rhapsody service). Start the VCast/Rhapsody software. Turn on cell phone (works with W755 and may work with other Verizon ?music phones? such as LG Chocolate, but the latter was not tested). Connect phone to PC ? connect USB cable to PC?s USB port first, then connect USB cable to phone . Be patient, it may take a minute to fully ?connect? in the phone?s display. Go to ?Sources? section of VCast/Rhapsody GUI screen ? the phone will register as a directory title using a name roughly like ?VCast xxx.? Windows Explorer will also show a ?VCast? drive/directory device. Files can be selected and dragged to and from source and target directories. At this point various options exist regarding music, picture, video management: 1.) The VCast/Rhapody software can be used to manage music, picture, and videos between the PC and phone. Again, no need to use the VCast service, just the software offline. 2.) Alternatively, other music management software such as Media Monkey (a personal favorite) can be used to move music, create playlists, etc. ? NOTE: Leave VCast/Rhapsody software running in the background as a means to ?connect.? It is best to start VCast, then plug in phone, then start other media management software so that the media management software will benefit from the connection (usually with a directory name using some variation of ?VCast.? Then use the alternative media management software as usual. Please note, this is a generalization based on success using basic software like Media Monkey, for example.

Suncing Media, Photos, Videos and MP3

The Palm Desktop Manager, which is free on the Palm website, can sync all your media to and from your phone. Here is the site, just choose the right OS for your computer.

http://www.palm.com/us/software/palmsoftware.html

When you sync your phone to your PC, it will ask you initially for what you want to sync. You can also do this anytime when you open up the Palm Desktop Manager on your PC. You can drag and drop your MP3s to the music folder on the Palm Desktop Manager and then sync it to your phone. This is the easiest way to get the MP3s on your phone.

You can also move photos/MP3s from your phone to your PC by using a 1GB SD card (the TREO 650 cannot accept any size larger than 1GB, trust me!). Copy your photos/videos/MP3s from your phone to the SD card and then take the card out of your phone. Use a USB Card Reader and connect it to your PC to read the SD card you just removed.

Good luck.
