Help for installing ws XP and not gettin LAN drivers for vista..

Initially you have to download sata driver for the model of your laptop from the manufacture website.
After downloading driver you have use the nlite software to create xp cd boo table with sata driver.
you can get details regarding the creation of bootable xp with sata driver from the following link

Prepare a Bootable XP Disc installer.
At first go to BIOS Setup to Boot First Priority the CD/DVD Rom Drive.
After that disabled SATA or RAID Configuration. The Bootable XP Disc Installer could not go on when you don't disable the SATA or RAID Connection.
Don't worry that you are thinking it would not detected the SATA HDD by Bootable Disc but it is. Then follow the instruction.

it is not possilble. Try with other XP CD. It will definitely get installed on your PC.
WINDOWS XP REQUIRES MINIMUM OF 128MB OF RAM.

Please do so, your problem will get solved.

Its true. the Bios or HDD driver wont allow you to install Win XP on it.. This BIOS is compatible with only Win Vista. The only easy way to do it is by creating 2 partitions while installing vista. once vista is installed- install XP with Dual boot and than format the vista partition.

CQ40 108TU (compaq) is designed to work only on Windows Vista. If XP is installed then likely some of the hardwares will malfunction. It is advised that only Vista is installed in YOUR CQ40 108TU
