Are you using the original PA-4 power adapter that goes with this unit? Using the wrong one would cause it to not work properly. Weak batteries would do the same. A generic power adapter would also, if working would cause static noises in the sound. The PA-4 is an odd unit, it is 10volt DC at 1 amp output. IF the one you are using is less than 1 amp, meaning if it says 400mA or something with an "m" in front of the A, UNLESS it is at least 1000, then it isn't strong enough to work correctly, EVEN if it powers up. If you have the wrong one, you can find it here:

I hope this helps you.

PSR e423. Why does it have a blank screen and no sound?

Blank screen and no sound, can occur because of damage to the power supply circuit in the PSR-E423.
Circuit power supply is still working but the voltage is not sufficient. This is indicated by a lit LCD screen but does not appear any character, and the sound did not exist. It is a matter of hardwares, so it can not be reset by software.
Should be fixed to the experts.
Do you use the original adapter? Also check the voltage.
Maybe, it is not known why, a voltage adapter has been dropped.

Yamaha psr-280 flashing display no key response or sound. Is it dead??

Your adapter should be a 12 volt DC delivering 2 amps (2000 ma). If the adapter is too small, you will have the symptoms you are seeing. Make sure the polarity is correct. DO NOT use the so called "universal adapters".

The keys are broken and some at no sound can I order the notes and sound kit. Yamaha PSR-295 . Regards Elias

Hi, i think you can. You can go to any of the Yamaha companies around you area and explain to them the problem of the keyboard. They will give you good and quality replacement part for your Keyboard.

Make sure you go to only Yamaha company to avoid getting a wrong part for your Keyboard.Avoid road siderepairsforissue like this,it's more complicated to handle

I guess that will do.
