Whilst working with the ts410 having used the correct fuel mix and water surpressor it ran out of fuel , it was refilled with correct mix , it would not start again ,, you can pull the draw cord but it would not turn over ... what could cause this issue ... any solutions? and has anybody else had these issues
Starting procedure for Stihl.
(cold starting)
Place cutoff saw on floor (flat clear surface).
Hold throttle in, while pushing on switch all the way down.
Hold cutoff saw firmly.
Pull starter handle until saw fires, it should then cut out.
Click the starter switch up 1 click to half choke.
Pull starter handle again until cutoff saw fires up. note: it will be reving because the trigger is loched on, (blip the throttle once) and it should go to tick over.
There should be np need to keep playing with the choke when the saw is warm. No need to lock the trigger when starting warm..

SOURCE: I have a stihl 310.
take off the muffler and spray some wd 40 into the cylinder with the piston all the way down. Then just pull the starter chord slowly until it loosens up. may take 10-20 pulls

SOURCE: keep burning up piston on
It sounds like you are running lean. Not a lean oil/gas mix but a lean Air/fuel ratio. This engine runs hot as a high performance engine. any air leaks such as crank seals, manifold gaskets or muffler gaskets can give you too much air for the fuel coming in.
Secondly from the fuel side:
Ethanol (curse it) combines with oils that have no nondispersants making a white chalky poweder in the fuel system causing less fuel to mix with air. any blockage or pin hole leak can cause less fuel to be brought into the engine thus less cooling and lubricating.
Your carburetor and fuel filter need to be serviced and adjusted correctly or they will affect the mix.
When done the engine should run no faster than 13,000 rpm top no load speed.
This engine should idle smoothly at 2,500 with no more than 150 rpm change
if the speed is not as listed above when the rebuild is done you need to go back into the machine.
Call up a shop like www.arcolawn.comto get a EDT8 tach. it is well worth the money.
good luck

Starting procedure for Stihl.
(cold starting)
Place saw on floor (flat clear surface).
Make sure chain break is on.
Hold throttle in, while pushing on switch all the way down.
Place right foot in the flat of the rear handle.
Place left hand on top handle.
Pull starter handle until saw fires, it should then cut out.
Click the starter switch up 1 click to half choke.
Pull starter handle again untilsawfires up. note: it will be reving because the trigger is loched on, (blip the throttle once) and it should go to tick over.

Warm starting is performed by holding the rear handle between the thighs rather than on the floor.

Is there any compression when pulling the starter cord.? The TS410 has a fuel primer. When it ran out, did you re-prime the primer bulb.? Then run through 'cold start' procedure.
