There is a diagnostic chart on the reverse side of the front panel near the wiring diagram. Usually a 3 blink indicates a pressure switch problem. Check your air filter, condensate hose and drain, intake and exhaust pipes.

I have a Rheem Criterion II Gas furnace, model #RGDG 07EAUER. It just stopped igniting. When I switch the thermostat to "heat" the furnace doesn't start. It is very cold.

How can i tell if my gas valve is bad on my rheum heater md# rgdg 15earjr

1) Copy following link for troubleshoot by type of gas control valve

2) Check for crossover that will cause water temps to vary.

3) Check for tripped TRD.
Pilot flame lights but flutters out when burner turned ON.

4) Symptoms bad gas control valve: If there is no gas for pilot, or TP valve releases large volume of water periodically, or water was suddenly very hot, if water temperature at tank varies widely.

Do you have the code reference on your furnace door? If so what does it say? The furnace has locked itself out, and we need to determine what in the world it needs..
