How do i change the number of rings on my rca model 25252 before going to the answer machine

the voicemail ring count has to be setup on your phone line thru your voicemail menu,and has nothing to do with the answering machine. if you don't want the answering machine to pickup, just shut it off. follow the prompt's for your voicemail settings, there you'll be able to set the amount of rings you want.

two rings means it has message, erase the message to increase the number of rings to like four

On the upper right sid there is a link to download the owners manual in pdf form. Unfortunetly I can't tell your model from the information so I can't tell you the page or how to do it.
