SOURCE: washing machine basket tilts to one side when washing

possibly one of the balancing weights, that are held by cables, have dislodged or the cable has come off a pulley. remove covers to look for a faulty condition such as this. I'm not sure of this model's balancing system, but it sounds like this type of problem.

SOURCE: Washer basket has dropped 1.5"

Different models use different devices to "suspend" the tub. Please verify the exact make / model.

The filter on your pump is probably clogged with lint and stuff. You have to remove the bottom front panel, 3 torx screws underneath. The panel will drop and come off. Drain off the excess water from the hose you see. The white filter cover is right in front. Get yourself a bunch of towels or a good big plastic bag to collect water. Unscrew the filter cover and twist the filter out. Clean out all the stuff and put it back in carefully.

Next: You can use Affresh to clean your front loader. Deposits of soap and other such things can be stuck around the inside tub of your washer. Try this product, it works great on all front loaders. Use hot water with the Affresh pellet with no clothes and run the machine through a cycle. Also helps with any stagnant water smells. Have you cleaned out your pump lately. Put the pellet inside the machine, not in the soap dispenser.

Replace washer spin basket kenmore elite 110

sounds like a bad bearing on the rear of the tub. If you remove the rear access panel you will see a large pulley and belt. That attaches to the inner drum (basket) and spins it. It floats on a bearing just behind the pulley. If the bearing is bad then you will be able to move it up and down about .25 to.50 of an inch.

I have a Kenmore washing machine model # 11020854990 which recently had a loud banging and knocking sounds during the final spin cycle. Now I notice the drum seems to have dropped down about an inch plus...

Could be a loose basket nut, or on the bottom tub support there are a few springs that help locate the tub. One of the springs could have come off or broke.

Spinning with loud noise

If it sounds like a jet taking off then you have a bad bearing. If you hear a clunk/clank your basket is cracked. Both require same fixed tub and basket replacement. Min $500 fix and takes two technicians to do the job.

My kenmore washing machine vibrates a lot

Might be a spring has come loose:

This video shows how to get into the machine and the location of those springs.

If your skate plate is out of alignment with the base it can vibrate alot also or your damper pads are worn can cause the vibrations

When in spin made loud klunking and screaching noise. now will not work in spin cycle without making loud klunking noise

Pull off the bottom panel, (three 1/4" screws along bottom). Check for chunks of concrete hanging down, or in the bottom pan. I have seen the lower front counter-weights on the HE2 break off several times. If not, reach in and give the basket a hard spin by hand, if you hear clunking or grinding, or the basket feels loose, you have a bad basket brace (usually caused by slop in the rear bearing). You would need to replace the rear shell (comes with a pre-installed bearing) and the basket. Depending on age, these parts may be in warranty, check your manual.

Kenmore HE3 Front Loader Washing Machine tumbler

The metal basket (inner basket) has a broken spider (these are the support brackets that hold the basket to the bearing shaft). The inner basket will need to be replaced and the front and rear shell of the drum may also need to be replaced depending if any other damage has been done. It's a big job, about 2 hours for a good tech.

Wasing machine leaves rust spots on clothes.

check the basket of the machine for rust spots on the basket if thats the case the basket should have a 10 year warranty depending on the age marks are either caused from that or the dryer. if its frigidaire the dryer then the front seals probably need to be changed make sure to find out exactly which machine its coming from
