I have sound but no picture.

My daughter's PS2 was working fine and then suddenly the picture is gone. Everything else is going the way it should but there is no picture. I have even had the console replaced under warranty and it still won't work. I wondered if it was the TV but that works fine with everything else. Any ideas anyone?

Have you tried replacing the cable that connects the PS2 to your TV? Might be something wrong with the video portion of the connector.

Why would tv sound work fine but while using roku 2 the sound suddenly stopped working?

If the picture is OK then check your sound cables, red and white if analog, or swap out the HDMI cable with one that you know works.
Also, on the SETTINGS screen make sure your audio is set to stereo not surround sound.

PS3 is backwards compatible with PS2 games, and USED to play them

In Playstation Store, you should download (for free) the PS2 SYSTEM DATA (something like this).
if you have formated your system, the files were erased, and the games won't play until you download the backwards comparibility files again.

Ps2 set up

Did you find the solution to being able to hook your daughter's PS2 through the Magnavox VCR/DVD player? If not, here is the solution: Connect it in the back of the player in an input (not an out). Set the player in VCR mode and using the remote enter "001". Hope this helps!

My slim PS2 was working just fine, all of the sudden it has no picture. I can hear sound of the game, but a blue screen for picture. I bought a lens cleaning disk and ran that, but not any better. Any...

It could easily be the wires. They may not be plugged in, or you can also try pushing the connection to the PS2 in harder. I have troubles with that connection. You might also have to buy new wires. I'm sure that it's not your lens.
