Canon i865 suddenly stopped printing anything in colour.
Hi
I'm hoping you can help me. My Canon printer i865 has stopped printing anything in colour. All cartridges are full. Normal black printing is ok. I have been through the troubleshooting guide, and done all the maintenance as in cleaning, deep cleaning, print head alignment etc many times but nothing changes.

This article on How to Troubleshoot the Vizix Ink Technologywill help fix print quality problems on your printer. To run the Deep Clean Printhead function on your printer -> on the printer operator panel, press Setup -> Maintenance -> select Deep Clean Printhead. Your printer will then print the test page. Hope this helps. Thanks.
Hi, it could be few things wich you having problem with.
First, how old are the ink tanks, it could be clodged. Second the print head nozzles are clodged at that places. Third, the purge unit does not work OK.
First remove all inks out and remove print head. Then on wet cloth, wet it with distiled water, few times press the bottom of print head ( nozzles ), then the 4 circles must change from colour to white. That means that nozzles are cleaned. Dry head by pressing it on dry cloth.
Put it in, also the inks, and run few times the deep head cleaning. Every time take a look at print pattern. If the head is to badlly clodged, test pattern would be just a little bit more better.
But now you know if the problem is in head or something else ( purge unit or inks ). The new head isnt so cheap regarding the printer so then the best solution would be to buy new printer. If you do not want to buy laser colour printer, atleast buy one on wich ink tanks has printhead on. Its slightly costly, but you have one worry less - the print head is changed every time you change the ink.
Keep holding down Power button and let Resume button go.
Press Resume button 2 times then let BOTH buttons go.
Green lights will flash and then stop blinking.
When green lights are solid, press the Resume button 4 times.
Press the Power button and the printer should turn off, if not, press the Power button once more.
Your Canon i550, i560, i850, i860, i865, i9100, i9950 Printers should respond as normal.
Please all I ask is call back and just gave a vote, it will gave me some satisfaction to know am helping some one, so I will keep on helping.
