Camera keeps freezing!

I have just bought this camera and taken it on holiday and it keeps freezing! I have tried changing batteries and have reset it to default settings but it still keeps freezing. The only way to get it going again is to remove then re insert batteries but it just keeps dying on me. Can someone help so that I can actually take some pictures on my holiday? Cheers

it can be possible to select reset icon by selecting menu option.
it is not possible to take this type of pictures because at auto flash mode the subject can't be covered witin flash range .therefore picture may underexposed however the forground within flash range may correctly exposed. If we do all this at flash off mode the motion of subject will appear  as blurred due to slow shutter speed.

SOURCE: Finepix S9000 won't turn on with fully charged batteries

Hello!
A solotion is to totally discharge the batteries. Totally! You need to connect the batteries to a resistor.( 10 ohms, 5W) and check when the voltage is below 0,5V each. Then you can charge again.
They say that NiMh dont need to be discharged like NiCd but that must be wrong. I can tell you that I bought a Nikon D1X very cheap from a big photo-shop while the batteries didn't stands for more than a few pictures. (The batteries would cost about $600 they said) But I discharged only the batteries(2) and after that I could take hundreds of pictures before recharging.
So: Discharge your NiMh-batteries totally before charging! (Specially new batteries.)

SOURCE: Sony Camera reset to default setting?

I do have a DSCT100 which has the same menu for this model.

You could go to the HOME menu, look for the Settings icon that looks like a briefcase. Inside the settings go to Main Settings 1 and look for Initialize.

You could also reset it by removing battery for a few minutes.

Hope this helps...ü

SOURCE: Need help back to default settings

If you want to take close-up, use Macro function. Button is located at rear and have sign like flower.
Want to restore default settings, go to camera menu and select Initialize, camera will power off and on again and select all default settings.
Let me know if further info required.

I've only had my Nikkon CoolPix for a month with only 100 pictures and keep getting the battery exhausted. I keep changing the batteries, but I keep getting the same message. Helo!

The Nikon CoolPix 3200 has an unusual battery selection AND also needs the type of battery being used to be selected in the set up menu. The default is Alkaline, if you are not using Alkaline this function may be part of your rapid discharge. What I would suggest is to switch to a "good" set of Ni-MH batteries, generally these can be bought as a set/kit with a charger. If you have a manual what I'm referring to is on pages 18 and 19. For changing the setting for battery type can be found on page 96. The battery choices for this camera can be confusing to anyone. Happy Holidays from Robert in Canada

I bought this camera in October and took it to

It should state in your user manual how long the initial charge should be, usually about 24 hours.

Try this first, if you still have problems, go back to the vendor, ask them to demonstrate it to your satisfaction. If they can't or won't request a replacement or refund under warranty.

"Change the Batteries"

Hello,

Sounds like the batteries may just be old. If you've had the camera for a while, the batteries will eventually expire and not charge as they should. I would recommend looking into new batteries. Try using regular AAs first. If that works, then you need some new rechargeable batteries. If not, there is a problem with the camera. If there is a problem with the camera, please visit the Canon site for more details or contact Technical Support with the number below.
