    DVD quit working

  • Anonymous Mar 31, 2009

same deal--my dvd player just quit for no reason--it hasn't even been used.

On my TV the DVD play worked just fine for about 6 months, and now it is constantly running, even with out a DVD in it. It is also constantly trying to load a DVD and makes a ticking noise that is very annoying while trying to watch TV.

This is the WORST TV that I have ever owned.

DVD player doesn't LOAD/PLAY dvds at all, never has. Makes noises everytime I turn my TV on when player isn't even in use. The DVD player was the reason I bought the TV.

Hi I have a Bauhn DVD TV from Aldi approx 1 year old. It's played DVDs great until I watched a movie on a USB. Now it won't recognise the DVDs and shoots them out after making a clicking noise. Sorry...

Hmm... I think there are many possible answers to this.
- Try to select DVD manually.
- Try to add a DVD while your USB stick is attached.
- Try to pull the wall power cable. Wait for 20 minutes, then plug it in and start the DVD player.
Very strange... Do you have a guarantee?

Toshoba tv/dvd combo. won't play many dvd's. makes clicking sound as it tries to load movie?

Dear Lesley!
It looks, like your DVD lens might get contaminated with dust and/or dirt, which is being picked up off DVDs. Let's try to load music CD, instead or DVD. If it loads well, I will suggest, that your DVD player is at fault and you must give up using it. External basic DVD players are quite inexpensive and easy to connect to your TV. But: if no CD, nor DVD load, the solution might be much simpler: use lens cleaner CD with brushes. good ones might even have a special fluid, which applied to brushes(alcohol based). Just load it into your TV's player and follow audible directions. After couple attempts, your lens should be clean enough to play DVDs. Please, don't try to use any "ear swabs", instead. The lengths is not long enough, plus it may damage load mechanism or get stuck inside. I've seen such a cases lately.
Good luck,
Thank you,
Alex.

Acer aspire 2930 DVD player only opens some dvds

Try Media player classic under k-lite codec pack. Then open video files on the dvd. If it doesn't help try another codec player. If nothing helps could it be that dvd player is not capable of multilayer dvd reading.

Unable to get play dvd or get picture on DVD channell on tv

If the player is doing that for all DVDs but playing CDs properly, the player has gone bad due to either the laser and lens being out of whack or the DVD drive just doesn't recognise DVDs anymore and needs repaired or replaced.

Sorry. Best of luck.

DVD not loading

you have to look on the back of your dvd player to see what region your player is then you will have to check the dvds that you have from colombia and warner bros and see what are thier region.you dont have to purchase a new dvd just dont buy or rent dvds from the above mention place.if the region on the dvds of both place do not match your dvd player you will be wasting your time.good luck.
