Need a driver for the Ricoh 3800c for an Intel Mac running OSX 10.5.5 (Leopard).

You will need to get an OS X installation DVD. Try eBay.Don't go for anything lower than 10.4 (Tiger)10.5 (Leopard) and 10.6 (Snow Leopard) should run fine on this machine.Don't bother with 10.7 or 10.8

download the osx10.5 printer driver

or if you can find it online the correct printer driver for osx10.6

The first thing that you need to do is to verify if your Olympus P-440 is if it's supported by Mac OSX 10.6.x (Snow Leopard). If yes, make sure that you've installed the correct driver for Snow Leopard.

This link contains a driver for Mac OSX. I assume that this driver will work with all OSX (starting from Tiger to Snow Leopard). If this driver will not help, you may need to contact the manufacturer, and verify the system requirements of your printer.

Yes it is very easy to do as you are running a Mac with Intel Processor. You have Mac OSx Leopard with updates 1,2, & 3. To upgrade to Mac OSx Snow Leopard you must buy the upgrade. Go here: http://www.apple.com/macosx/ On the top right click (Buy Now) You will have to pay $29 which is a bargain. Once you get the upgrade on CD simply follow the directions for the simple upgrade. I did the same thing when Snow Leopard came out. It is well worth the $29.

If this link doesn't work, follow these steps:

- Go to Ricoh-USA.com
- Click Downloads on the blue bar along the top
- Click "Download Ricoh Drivers & Software"
- Select the AP3800C from the drop-down list under Printers, B&W/Color/Gel and then click Go
- Choose your operating system from the list
- Download the two files listed under Mac OS X 10.5

Once the files are downloaded, you should be able to install the print driver normally.

Any Logitech wheel should be detected by OSX Leopard or Snow Leopard - no drivers needed - in OSX, it's more the game that supports the controller than the OS itself that does.

Here are the minimum specs your Mac will need to run Leopard, from Apple:

• Intel, G5, or 867MHz+ G4 processor
• 512 megs of RAM (though if you only have 512 megs of RAM you should get some more. Trust me, I'm a pundit)
• DVD drive (Leopard is shipping on a DVD, and your Mac needs to read it to be able to install it)
• 9GB of free disk space (though I bet if you customize the install and leave out all those printer drivers and extra languages you can save lots of space)

Go to your apple menu, and look on the "about this mac" If your machine doesn't have the mhz's you are out of luck. If you don't have a DVD drive, you are not going to be able to install either...

Found a solution. We connected 8008 printer to imac running Tiger & we can now print via network on any of our emacs running Leopard. Not ideal but at least we can now use the printers. I would still love a dedicated driver to work direct but I suppose this will do for now.
