You will need to replace the "ice control thermistor" on the unit. Here is the part to order. The ice control is number 320 on this diagram.

There should be a plastice hinge cover on the left top hinge on freezer door. Take it off and press the plug together firmly. Try that and let me know, Sea Breeze

The ice bucket is probably cracked we have had three that have all done the exact same thing all different name brands. Just order a new ice bucket. Good Luck and my advice is to purchase a extended warranty on these because its not a matter of if it will break its when. Edgestar lasted the longest it lasted 1yr and 7months.
