Why am I getting an Image Database File error on my Sony camera?

Would have been easier for me, when you had given the model number, but I give it a try. Most of the time you get these messages, when the file number is exceeding 999 or 9999. Or when the card or disk is full. Please try to recover all existing files from the memory (card and disk) and then try to format all memory devices.

Why am I getting am "Image Database File error" on my camera? I push enter and then I get an "Image Database File recovery failed". Can still take and save pictures but can not record videos do to problem.

Hi Linda,

If you get into the practice of FORMATING the memory card IN THE CAMERA after transferring the images and videos to your computer, many file related errors will go away. Formatting provides a "fresh start" for the camera to work with the memory card. Some older Sony cameras worked with optical media (CD / DVD), if this is the case for you, you may just have a bad disk. Insert a high quality disc as recommended by the camera and you should be good again.

Image database error

The manual on page 126 says:
Image Database File error Cannot recover Import all of the images to the computer with "PMB", and format the memory card or the internal memory (page 97). To view the images again with the camera, export the imported images to the camera with "PMB".

If you used the card before in the same camera, it should be compatible. If you can't save the pictures normally, us an external card reader, to save or recover and save the pictures first. Then do a format in the card reader (FAT or FAT32) and when you reinsert the card in the camera, again format the card, this time in the camera. (You always should format in the camera, the first time you use a memory card in a camera, or after you had a failure tithe the memory card.

Nex 6 is saying image database file not ready

Try these solutions to fix image database file not ready:

1. Format the card within the camera itself.
2. Erase everything from card and then re-insert it in the camera.
3. Replace the card with new one
4. Check whether card is locked or not. If it is locked then unlock it.
5. Switch off the camera and then Turn it ON back again.

I hope any one of the solutions have helped you to solve the problem.

Recovering data file after receiving error: inconsistencies found in image database file Cannot record or play HD movies Do you want to repair the image database file?

STOP
do not write anything to your camcorder's removable memory stick, otherwise you willt re-write the files and permanently lose your videos and pictures.
Install this recovery software called Tenorshare Data Recovery.
From inside the software,navigate/choose your memory stick letter( "D", "F", "G" ... ? ) and scan the section where it says "Raw Recovery", "Videos" or "Photos" . Scan the memory stick and Set the destination folder(folder where recovered files will be saved) somewhere on your computer.
BTW, you can get this recovery software from
Photo Recovery Software for Windows

Photo Recovery Software for Mac
It will show you thumbnails for your pictures that it found on your memory stick.
WARNING:there will be lots of recovered files,do not set the destination folder as your DESKTOP,otherwise you'll end up having 100000 files on your desktop... = total mess :)

How do i fix my jpeg error #52 problem? exact and simple steps plz

It can be two issues,

First one is that the picture is corrupted.

Second is that it can be because of incorrect JPEG images in the database. For example, if you have a BMP image file named image.jpg and you add it , you'll get an error.
