Seems to do this mostly on cold days.
Did you get an answer to this question? Our 2014 Equinox is "beeping" from under the hood after shutting it off. Also seems to have started only during COLD weather. No it doesn't have anything to do with steering or suspension components. It is an audible beep noise or chirp noise. Thanks in advance.

hi, this sounds like track rod ends have gone this is for the steering and causes the tyre to where in one point these are cheap to buy and easy to fit but you will need to get the tracking set after replacing this part as it needs to be set to stop your tire wearing uneven the noise your getting will be from the tire on the road as it will be forcing the tire to run uneven so getting this checked would be my first choice.
Hope this is some help toy you let me know how you get on or if you have any questions ok
SOURCE: front driver side tire makes loud rubbing noise when moving
two items might be your problem the CV joint is bad or your front bearing is going out .. thanks Jerry
SOURCE: struts were replaced but there is still squeaking in front
possible sway bar links, strut bearing plates (they sit on top of the strut), ball joints, tie rod ends. If the you can make it squeek by pushing up and down on the front, have someone do this while trying to narrow where the noise is coming from.

Watch out! You might have a loose wheel! Check those wheel nuts. If not, a loose brake caliper, or last if not least, a bad wheel bearing. Don't drive it until you find out what the heck is wrong! Could be dangerous.
SOURCE: I have a whining noise under the hood. It gets
it may be the belt that connects to the alternator..either it is loose or may need tightening.
