My monitor has started flickering after I turn it off for a period of time. It was just flickering a couple time but the time it takes to stop is getting longer and longer. I have been leaving the monitor on to keep from facing the issue. But it gets shut off every now and then. I would say it's the back light. Am I also looking at capacitors in the cold cathode backlight circuit?
If it's not under warranty, buy a new one from newegg dot com.
With a new one costing $270.00 I'm pretty sure I can repair an otherwise good monitor for a fraction of that. I'll just tear into it and see what makes it tick....
Are you joking or have no clue in life, this junk is 14ms, it's not LED backlight, NO HDMI,, it's old, 270.00 your hilarious , you can buy it right from junk viewsonic for 239.00. Why would anyone buy this outdated junk. A real monitor that's 24", has a 4ms, LED backlight, HDMI, is 160.00 NEW. 270.00 ROLOLLMAO
I may get thrown off but so be it. Pardon me for being so stupid to think a site called "Fixya" would be asking for anything but how to fix something "Duh" You smartass. Since I'm not quite the keyboard warrior you are, I use my IPS monitor for photoshop and the IPS monitors cost a bit more than your TN POS. Why did you even waste your time being a smartass when you obviously are so superior?

The high pitch sound is coming from the inverter. It is faulty and needs to be repaired or replaced. The inverter supplies high voltage to the CCFL lamp, this lamp gives the backlight to the LCD so you can see the LCD images.

This happened to me and I was able to fix it. I cracked it opened and found a bad capacitor, bought a replacement at Radio Shack and I'm back in business. Actually using it right now to post this.

It does look like the inverer may be going bad. how many CCFL's does the VP2365wb monitor have? I would like to order the parts before tearing into it.
