SOURCE: Constant flickering

This could be early signs of imminent failure of a defective CCD imager. If so, Canon should fix this for you for free, including free shipping both ways. This is regardless of your camera's warranty status. Please check the following two links for more info:

SOURCE: Lumix TZ3 lens does not open

It is not clear if you are saying whole camera turns off or just screen turns off.

Notice before the camera went bad the lense does not extend in play mode, while it does in record mode. Many cameras have software that automatically turns camera off if lens cannot/fails to extend for some reason. Try to help it extend in record mode before camera turns off.

My 5 year old panasonic DMC-TZ27 seems to have jammed as it won't switch on!

Try the most basic step first. Please check if the battery is fully charged. If not it is not providing enough juice to the motor that turns the zoom lens. Please charge it fully first and give it a try.
If not, try re-setting the camera. you can find it in the menus.
if not the worst case scenario, the zoom motor is burnt, please take it to the service center for necessary repairs

The DMC-FX33 doesn't take pictures except sometimes on iA mode

In most cases, the camera is beyond economic repair. If the camera is a few years old, buying a newer one is a better option. I'm seeing brand name 10 MP models NEW for $60. you might check online auction sites for used ones. I've picked up 5 MP ones for $5.

My new eos rebel xsi won't let me set it on portrait; instead it sets on landscape for both portrait and landscape

To take a picture in portrait mode, you just have to turn the camera 90 degrees. When you view the pics, the camera will automatically make the picture upright for viewing but it will still be a portrait.

I have a Panasonic Lumix DMC FX07. My photos are blurry 90% of the time. What are the best settings to put in on to get the best quality?

I have looked around, and it appears that there are others with the same problem, with that same model. Either the camera has an issue, or there are picky settings on the camera.

Start with the obvious. Make sure the lens is very clean. Use lens tissue, or a very soft, lint free cloth. Try that first and see if there is any difference.

When you are taking pictures, take advantage of focus lock. You center the subject you are focusing on, then push down the shutter button half way. Then while holding it half way, you can reposition the camera and take the picture. The focus will lock on whatever you first clicked on. It works really cool.

Make sure the stabalizer is turned on, the little hand with lines around it, like shake.. Make sure that is on 1 or 2 mode and not turned off. Try all three and experiment with that.

Lastly, make sure you use your scene modes. Moving subjects need the sports mode, people portrait mode, etc. That adjusts the shutter speed and lens opening for the right type of photo.

If you have Adobe Reader, here is a link to your manual, you can download it to your computer.

I hope this helps!
