SOURCE: Lumix TZ3 lens does not open
It is not clear if you are saying whole camera turns off or just screen turns off.
Notice before the camera went bad the lense does not extend in play mode, while it does in record mode. Many cameras have software that automatically turns camera off if lens cannot/fails to extend for some reason. Try to help it extend in record mode before camera turns off.
SOURCE: Problems with my Panasonic Lumix Digital camera
let me explain to you guys, these cameras are slim line cameras and if dropped or mishandled it is going to give problems. you cant blame the camera if you are not handling it corectly.
SOURCE: memory card is protected
my memory card had the same problem. it has a tiny switch on the left side(its gray) move it up. it worked for me now mine is fine and when ya flick it back down it locks again so thats the problem just flick the switch back.
