A lot of newer tv you'll have to change the input of the tv to receive the signal. Most should be labeled. If it's red and yellow connectors it will be a composite connection. Some tv companies require a signal to be present before they will switch or even show the different inputs
You pushed the button firmly on the front of the mic and it stays yellow and no sound? Did you try unmuting it in the computer settings? Maybe the hardware button is broken but you can still unmute it in software?
Buy a better mic! This question reminds me of the musicians who invest in a nice JBL public address system but then use Radio Shack microphones. A good quality mic, not GREAT but just good will cost you a minimum of $100. Quit playing with toys and invest in real recording gear. Computers and hard drive recorders can easily record CD quality audio, and-so why would you use a $70 mic?
it doesn't make a difference what color wire it is as long as the wire is connected to the function it is going to control If your mic has a red , blue , black , and shield wires but your radio isn't set that way you have to set it to the way your radio is . you have to find out where ground is then audio in and audio out then the last is the shield.

It's manifestation - a blinking yellow light on a PS3 that refuses to do anything else.
You have 2 options at this point:
Return the unit to Sony.
if your PS3 is still under warranty, the fix will be free; otherwise, Sony will charge a flat fee of $150.
Fix it yourself for less than $80.
This list contains the necessary tools and components to effect your PS3's meteoric rise from it's YLoDic grave as set forth in this free YLoD Repair Guide.
