Blown thermo-fuse twice

I have a kenmore free standing dishwasher has ran fine for 3 yaers but 2 weeks ago blew thermo fuse leaving water in bottom of unit. I pulled front panel found blown thermo fuse and raplaced it. Dishwasher ran fine for 1 week but did same thing last night. dishes appear clean like it ran full cycle but failed before rinse water pumped out. Thermo fuse is blown again, so before putting another new one in and not finding problem I am looking for trouble shooting advice. would partially clogged water drain cause wiring high enough amp draw to blow fuse. As it appears that wash went fine am I correct in thinking problem is in water pump out cycle? When I replace fuse again will there be diagnostic codes in place? Thanks for the help, great site!

SOURCE: new dishwasher leaving powder residue on dishes.

the problem is hard water and there is a new product out called the dishwasher filtration system. it actually filters the water going into your dishwasher and leaves your dishes spot free. after the first load i was amazed that the white film was gone and my dishes were sparkling. you can get it at www.dishwasherfilter.com.

SOURCE: Kenmore Ultrawash QuietGuard 3 Dishwasher not draining or rinsing

Hi Claire,
Are you using rinse aid?
that may help with the film.you may also have stuff down in the trap causing the water to drain slow.

SOURCE: Kenmore Ultrawash QuietGuard 3 Dishwasher not draining or rinsing

Not draining may either need new drain motor. or something is blocking the drain pipe.

Spots on dishes means you are using to much detergent or the wrong kind of detergent.

Your owners manuel should tell you what type to use.

SOURCE: Clean light keeps blinking and I can't start a new cycle

That is a comon problem with that model. It is not sensing a temperature change in the water.

Push i believe it is heated dry and sani rinse going back and fourth between the two to clear the code and see if you can get it to complete a cycle. If it doesnt call sears and schedule service there is a service flash repair that should not cost you anything to repair the unit.

SOURCE: Kenmore elite dishwasher leaves food particles on dishes

If someone is putting dishes in the washer and obstructing the spray ams that would cause food to stay on dishes. After loading dishwasher and pushing in baskets make sure the spray arm doesnt hit any of the dishes causing them to not clean properly. If that doesnt work or is definately not your problem try removing the spray arm and seeing if it has food inside of it. Some times they get food build up in them and need to be flushed out.

No power at all

Check The following components below to address this issue.

1. No power to the dishwasher
Make sure there's power getting to the dishwasher. Check for a tripped circuit breaker or a blown fuse. Check the wall socket for power. Sometimes the power cord disconnects at the dishwasher (inside the junction box, behind the bottom kick panel), if this is the case, the wiring must be repaired or replaced.

2. Door switch
Replace if defective.

3. Timer/control
Replace if defective (note: uncommon problem).

4. Selector switch
Replace if defective (note: uncommon problem).

Water standing in bottom of dishwasher, after wash cycle is finished? This is a Kenmore model 665.1565591

My problem too recently.

I blew compressed air back through the drain line and let it bubble up in the standing water in the dishwasher. Then I put it through another cycle and everything was fine. Something must have gotten clogged and the air blew it out.

Kenmore undercounter dishwasher quiet guard

Presuming that your circuit breaker is not tripped and you have power to the dishwasher, it appears that your thermo fuse is blown. You can replace it for around $20. It comes in a kit form or you can replace the thermo fuse for around $1. The part number is NTE 8096 Thermo Fuse 98 degrees Celsius and solder it in yourself. It is located on the circuit board that contains all the relays and the main computer chip. It clips on and off.

Hotpoint Dishwasher

have you tried adjusting the feet on the front of the washer so it is tilted back slightly .This will stop the water from coming over the little lip on the front of the machine. Some dishwashers also use a little amount of water in the bottom when drying asthis helps to curculate the heat ; leave the washer to complete it's cycle and it should beep to let you know when it is finished
