Your first option before anything else is to remove the dispenser tray entirely and clean it thoroughly.
Also clean inside where the fits before replacing.
Quite often there is a build up of old fluids or powders that have congealed and blocked up the inside.

Good luck and thanks for using FixYa.

Mike.

My LG washer machine will not rinse thru the softer section in the cup, what can I do?

then the solenoid is not actuating to allow water into drawer. take top off, very easy, two screws in back, pull back, lift off. follow hose from softer cup to little round device/solenoid. check wiring. check hose, tho you would know there was a problem with hose, because you would see a water leak. replace solenoid. hope this is the issue. good luck.

Dishwasher suds up and leaks during wash

Suds in a dishwasher usually come from using too much soap or the wrong kind. Soap can build up over times causing problems. First start a cycle.Do not add detergent or any dishes. When it starts washing, pour a cup of vegetable oil directly into the tub. This will cut the existing soap suds. You may need to try this a couple time before the dishwasher will drain. After all suds have been removed, load you dishwasher and start a cycle filling the detergent cup up half way. If it goes through the cycle with no problems, you should be all set. Still have the problem? A rinse aid dispenser that dispenses too much rinse aid will also cause the dishwasher to suds up. You can remove the dispenser from the door, flush it out and reinstall. Make sure you turn the circuit breaker off before taking the door apart. After rinsing it out, do not add rinse aid. Try the dishwasher and see if the problem goes away. I've seen people accidentally put liquid dish detergent in dispensers too. A dishwasher that has suds is apt to leak. Fix your suds issue and you most likely will fix you leak

Detergent dispenser does not dispense.

see the causes and remedies:
Most dispenser problems are due to being gummed up with detergent, fabric softner, bleach residue, and water deposits. First check the dispenser drawer by pulling it out of the dispenser itself. To do this push down on the tab in the back and remove. Check that all is thoroughly clean. No holes blocked up. Now there are several types of dispensers out there but most have holes in the top where it dispenses hot or cold water to the appropriate area. These holes can become plugged up. If you have really hard water I would say replace the dispenser if it is gummed up bad. Otherwwise remove the dispenser and thoroughly clean it out. Before doing this check the solenoids that allow water through the dispenser. The solenoids can be checked with an ohmeter but if all is clean and the solenoid does not open to allow flow replace the unit or solenoid. Connect your ohmeter and refer to the tech sheet or service manual for the proper reading. You can also check for voltage going to the solenoid. If you have voltage when each solenoid should be working, example: When the machine should be dispensing fabric softner, The solenoid that allows water to flow through that area should have voltage. If it does replace the solenoid or unit.

I mistakingly put an entire 50 ounces of detergent into dispenser

Go ahead and run it, but add a whole lot of fabric softner to the water to knock the suds down.

Hello sir,i have a kenmore series 90 washer & dryer.this specific machine has top dispensing detergent/bleach&softner.when it becomes time for the softner to be dispensed on the re-fill the machine...

PLease check the hose that goes from the INLET VALVE to the dispensing system cup on your washer. This hose probably has a hole or the plastic dispensor is cracked and therefore leaking.
The inlet valve is working and when the time comes the water goes to the dispensing cup, so the system is working it is just the hose, dispensing cup or both.

Fabric softner leakage

By opening upper machine's cover you will have an access to the detergent/softner drawer. Look for the place the water leaks from. Good luck !!
