Try resetting the cables or use different cables.

Get another Go Flex same model an swap the drives.

If the drive is detected you could try a free app called Recuva.

If you want someone to help you remotely try an online data recovery service like http://FreeDataRecovery.us

Compaq prisario cq56, cant start, black screen n a cursor/poiner. Help please, all my presentation, i cnt access, tried safemode, same result

It is most likely a failed hard drive. The only way to check would be to remove it and try to access the drive in another computer using a Drive Dock. This way you will be able to retrieve your data if it is accessible. I know this won't help, but, you should make regular back ups of anything you don't want to lose. If all you are saving is documents you can do this on a Rewritable CD or DVD.

Mybook WD25001032 is no longer recognized by my computer. how do I recover the data.

Disassemble the enclosure, and separate the disk-drive from the USB-to-disk-drive adapter. Connect the disk-drive as a "slave" drive in a desktop computer, and see if you can access the files.

Watch doesn't talk anymore

If the battery is not visible by removing the back then this is not a battery change that I recommend for the layperson. I suggest taking this to a watchmaker or technician. This is because the battery powering the circuit board for sound maybe under the circuit board and not easily accessible without removing the movement and separating the circuit board from the movement. Also you should know that these sound boards are sensative and can easily be damaged.

Seagate free agent pro 500 gig external hard drive NOT RECOGNIZED

You better check with the Seagate people. This seems to be a problem with the casing. And since you're under warranty, you can get a replacement.

Does not take picture 2

using paint shop pro to browse memory stick via a generic card reader as always do when suddenly card no longer recognised and no drive is visible any longer. Upon putting card back into my DSCP73 I get the dreaded C1301 error and as your drive no longer visible even with win explorer no chance of a format.

I restarted the PC and plugged back in the card reader to find that both of my cheap card readers can now see the drive but cant access the data.
However this now allows right mouse click - scandisk with "fix file system errors". The drive was half full of totaly fragmented data which I could then defrag and finally delete. Upon placing card back into camera, fault has gone and everything is fine.

Being able to use disk manager on a second IDE drive

Did you connect it to a spare IDE cable or an existing cable which was connected to the first hard disk or CD Drive?

Is BIOS able to recognize it? Go to the BIOS settings and check.

But since you are able to see it in the disk manager, it should be connected okay.

This is a new drive right? So what is the problem in deleting the existing partition and recreating it? BTW, what is the partition size?

Startup repair cant find problem on my laptop and wont let me on

hi dear

Remove the hard drive and connect it to any other working computer using an external USB enclosure. You should be able to see the hard drive in My Computer.
Try accessing it as a regular hard drive.
It is possible that you’ll be able to see files but will not be able to access them. In this case try taking ownership of the files.

or just trying to reinstall your windows
