It will not send or receive a fax if the error is still there. Clear the error by trying these steps:
-open cartridge door and remove the cartridge
-unplug the power cord at the back of printer
-after 30 seconds, plug the cord and turn on the printer. It will ask for the cartridge.
-Open the cartridge door and insert the cartridge
-close the access door
-if the error is cleared, try faxing again.

I hope this helps.

Regards,

I tried to install non-genuine ink cartridges into my Canon MG5150 and now it wont work. It comes up with "B200 printer error unplug and contact service centre" How can i get it working again?

I am sorry to hear that you are having problems with this ink cartridge.
There may be several reasons for the problem.
Lets start out by installing the old ink cartridge if you have it. If you have the old cartidge and reinstall it and don't get the error than I would suggest purchasing another replacment cartridge. IF you still get the error with the old ink cartridge than you will need to send your printer off for service. ( i suggest purchasing a new printer before paying for service.)
Also most of the printer companies have install RFID chips in ink cartridges, So unless its a factory ink cartridge it may note actually work in your printer.
Canon, Lexmark, and HP all use RFID ( radio frequency identification) This prevents you from purchasing cheaper cartridges so you are left with either refilling you old cartridges or purchasing OE ( original Equipment).
I hope this helps you with your problem, feel fee to let me know if there is more I can do for you.

New ink cartridge in printer saying empty

Assuming you have a refilled or remanufactured cartridge there this is actually pretty normal. These cartridges have no means of checking for new ink in the cartridge so will continue to warn of empty. They will not however stop you from printing as a result.

If however you purchased the cartridge as a brand new cartridge, you may have been miss-sold the cartridge. In which case I would advise speaking to whoever it was purchased from.

How to replace the ink cartridge

1. Look at the indicator light on your Lexmark printer. You'll need to replace ink cartridges when the light flashes or turns red instead of the standard green.

2. Purchase Lexmark ink cartridges. You can buy the brand name or purchase a generic version that is compatible with your printer. You can shop for low cost ink cartridges from ABC Ink.

3. Remove the old cartridges from your printer. Grip the sides of the Lexmark ink cartridges and pull it out. Dispose of the ink cartridges in a recycle program like the one at Staples or save the cartridges for refill.

4. Install the new ink cartridges after removing the protective tabs. Avoid touching the IC chip when installing the new Lexmark ink cartridges. Replace the cover of the printer.

5. Allow the Lexmark printer to run a nozzle test. Print several pages with the new ink cartridges to make sure you installed the ink cartridges correctly. The indicator light should return to a solid green color.

Epsom stylus CX4700 won't print - new ink cartridges installed

They cut costs on Epson compatible cartridges by using low quality ink and chips or not resetting the chips at all. Sounds like you got cartridges that the chips were not reset on so your printer thinks all the cartridges are empty. I own a Cartridge World ink refilling store and I would never recommend purchasing compatible Epson cartridges from anyone. I would buy refills of Epson brand cartridges and make sure the seller reset the chips.

924 says that black ink cartridge not installed

Hmmm....that sounds to be an issue with the ink cartridges...

You might be using ink cartridges purchased other than Dell or Staples...since these are the two who sell Dell Ink.

If thats not true, then take out both the cartridges in the printer.

Lets isolate the issue

1. Try only Black cartridge on Color slot(right). If you get Install both ink cartridges error, then its an issue with the Black ink cartridges and if you get message that install Black ink cartridge then its an issue with the prrinter.

2. Now install only color cartridge on Black cartridges slot(left), If you get color cartridge missing then its an issue with the Black cartridges which you are using and if you get install both ink cartridges then its an issue with the black slot on printer.

3. If issue found to be with Black ink cartridge then wipe the Nozzles(bottom) of the ink cartridge with lint free cotton cloth from back to front 5-6 times.

4. Also try replacing the ink cartridges purchased only from Dell or from Staples. Purchased from somewhere else or refilled might not work.

5. If issue found to be with printer, then i would suggest you to purchase new printer then.

Hope this fix the issue

Ink low error

Hi there the ink cartridges are designed to be used once. Most of these new ink cartridges have a set chip on it once you have installed a new cartridge it registers that a new one has been installed and resets the ink counter for that cartridge. When you refill the cartridge it doesn't reset the chip.

I don't know how to reset the chip but the best suggestion I can offer is to purchase a compatible cartridge that has been reset.

Thanks J
