More likely to be a hard drive problem.

Usually you need to press F10, please bear in mind that this will clean all your data off the laptop.

Your gpu will have gone is you can not get any signal from the VGA port or the screen.

you can pick up a replacement screen for between £70 and £80 by searching 'nj65 screen' on ebay
