I had the same problem but solved it by connecting the apparently dead Fuze to a power charger for better than a week. Then I held the on/off button for 20+ seconds to do a reset and it came back alive and started acting normally including taking a charge from either the wall power or USB

Use a home charger not the USB charger. It is too weak to recharge the FUZE.

It sounds like it's time for a new battery. Here is your battery:

If replacing the battery doesn't get this player up and running, you will need to contact Sandisk for repair or replacement of your player.

I'm trying to charge my sansa fuze battery. I plugged it into the USB port of my IMAC, but the charge meter on the fuze never changes, it stays with the same charge. Do I need to do something else?

Battery : Remove the back and check and see if
the battery isn't fully connected I put a folded peace of paper and put it on top of the battery and put the back on.

My sansa fuze has frozen, and wont turn off, or go

Hold the the on/off button up for about 10-20 seconds and it should turn off. then you can just turn it on again. I fit doesn't work, then just wait for the battery to die and charge it back up.

My sansa fuze will not turn on after being off for a few days, even with a charge. However, when I connect it to the usb, it then turns on fine. I just get stuck when there's no usb adapter available, like...

Hello :

There's a problem with the charging jack . You need to replace it . If that didn't help , then try replacing the battery . If the battery is dead then that could happen also .

good luck .

I left my 2GB charging, and when I looked at it, the screen was frozen, I took out the charger, it went black, and now I can't turn it on

There could be a possibility that you've got either a defective battery or faulty components on the small circuit board inside.

What happened to your player is an indication that the battery could no longer hold a charge and/or some components became shorted.

Since most mp3 players have built-in batteries, I would suggest to contact the manufacturer and have them repair it for you.

Good luck!

Sandisk Sansa will not charge

Use the USB/data cable (the same cable you used to transfer music to the Fuze). Plug the other end into a powered USB outlet or an AC adapter.

First battery charge after purchase

I would charge the Fuze fully before first use, actually this is what is recommended. You'll know when it is finished, as you will get a full green battery icon displaying.
The players are not fully charged when first shipped.
