SOURCE: Perfect Focus not working
I know this post is old, but for others, I apparently pulled out the connector from the sensors to the CG module when I took the front panel off. The module is the silver box, third box from left.
Plugged it back in, and the perfect focus now works.

SOURCE: i have dell model no
It sounds like a power failure.
If it is plugged into a surge protector, try resetting it. In the Dell manual, it says, "if the power light is blinking amber - The computer is receiving electrical power, but an internal power problem might exist. Ensure that the voltage selection switch is set to match the AC power at your location (if applicable). Ensure that the processor power cable is securely connected to the system board (see page 73)."
There is another thread on FixYa that might be of some use: http://www.fixya.com/support/t274632-dell_gx150_power_light_flashing_orange.
Finally, I checked a Dell forum and found this discussion: http://en.community.dell.com/support-forums/desktop/f/3514/t/17794576.aspx.
If you do need to replace the power unit, I found a replacement part at http://www.discountelectronics.com/index.php?l=product_detail&p=2168.
If you are not comfortable replacing the part yourself, you can use a PC repair service, such as the Geek Squad. It might be worth getting a second opinion.
Thank you for using FixYa!
