You can charge it via a USB lead also from the computer
Just will take a lot longer to charge
Try getting a charger from fleabay ,make sure it is a reliable manufacturers product as if you get a cheap replacement damage and fire are possible to the tablet or home

if you have a 3100 or 3140 as you have pictured..they cant be charged via USB..you need a home or car charger

the desk top charger wont be working for your device and I suggest you to replace the battery on to another mobile phone and try charging it

check your cigarette lighter, it may have a blown fuse , check to make sure its not the problem.

Make sure you have an original OEM charger for the MDA. Many of the knock off chargers don't provide the right amperage for the device. What happens is that since the phone is completely dead, it can't regulate how many amps the battery should get during the charge and an incorrect charge current won't charge the battery. I'm guessing that someone sold you a Motorola RAZR charger or another knockoff made for the RAZR. This might charge your phone when the battery is working, but not when it's DEAD. Also you won't have luck plugging it into a computer USB cable because, again, the phone can't tell the computer what charge to send and most computers only produce <0.5 amps in the USB port.

Get a charger that states it is an OEM (original eqipment manufacturer) device or one that is specifically designed for the MDA (or Cingular 8125). eBay is full of them.

it is a Problem of charger Socket in Your Phone, Please Go to the nearest Motorola Service center Or gallary, If Not found, So to any local Mobile Repair Shop. good to go Motorola Service center because they provide original accesories & parts.

I had the same problem with charging, I found that my car charger and via USB charged the phone but not my home charger. Give that a try, if it works with either one of them you will have to send it to Motoservice center and they will fix the internal connection problem. (save your money on buying new batteries and chargers) Make sure that the phone is not locked to a network, or make sure that the SIM has not expired and has plenty of credit.
