Question about Dirt Devil Featherlite Bagless Vacuum M085845Vacuum

Blows dust it blows dust out of the vents.

Making a really loud noise, no suction and blows dust out. Nothing is clogged and we changed the belt and have clean filters.

I have a eureka model AS2011 type A. It is lowing dust out of what appears to be vented holes in the base of the vacum. How do I fix it?

I had this trouble and it turned out someone in my household had tossed out the filter with the rest of the dirt. you may have lost yours along the way since it's relatively easy to throw out.

It seems it must be blowing out from somewhere. Try to figure out where by feeling for air blowing to try to determine where it's coming from and why.

Have you over filled it and tipped the karcher to one side that sometimes makes warter blow out the vents give it a good shake on its side then try again.

Check the leak (where the dust come from); maybe you need to tighten or reseat one or more part in that area.

Dust is blowing out the front vent.

If dirt and dust are blowing out anywhere that they shouldn't be, it's a sure sign that something's plugged farther on up the line. You'll need to disassemble the unit and clear the clog before anything will go through to the dirt cup. Also, as long as you're going to be taking it apart, check all the filters. This is a notoriously neglected part of bagless vacuums, and a very large part of why they start to lose the initial level of vacuum power. Clean the ones you can clean, replace the ones you can't. Walmart and Meijer's are a couple of places where you might find replacements.

I've put in new bag and filters and there is dust coming out of the air vents. Where am I going wrong.

If a previous bag burst then it may just be the residual dust from that. I suggest you start by taking out the bag and filter and purging by switching on for a minute (don't actually vacuum with it and take it outside before you switch it on)
Eventually there will be no dust coming out then replace the bag and filter and if it is still blowing dust out then you will need to look for another problem.

Dust will blow out of the front vent of my Dirt Devil Featherlite Bagless Vacuum. It seems to be shooting out dust that I just vacuum up, but I can't be certain.

Dust blows out of the filter vent is usually caused by a plugged filter drop the filter door on the back, replace or for a temporary fix blow out the filter

Take to Walmart, plug it in and start to vacuum THEIR floors!
Try removing the dust container and look for anything blocking airflow including the HEPA filter. Make sure the dust cup has a seal where it joins the vacuum. The fix is probably simple, but it shouldn't be up to you to do so!

Blowing out dust

The reason most vacuums blow dust is because there is little or no suction in the foot of the vac. on this model, check to make sure that the hose is installed in the recepticle on the back to draw vacuum from the floor. verify the filter is clean, and there is no obstruction in the bottom foot.

Hello,
I recently bought a house with an older Electrolux Central Vac system. I'm unfamiliar with them, so I'm not sure how to deal with this: I cleaned up some mortar dust with it, and noticed not too long after that when I went into the garage, there was a fog of dust. The hose from the unit is venting into the garage. Is this normal? I have since used it for everyday household cleaning and each time I go back to the garage to a cloud of dust. Is there anything I can do? Thanks

I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. It sounds to me that the unit you have may have to be vented outside as I am not familiar with this particular unit, or it could very well be that it is missing a filter or the filter you have inside already is shot and is in need of replacement or on some central vacs there are paper filter that go over the cloth type filter. Again, I am not familiar with this older unit but feel free to contact the Electrolux Factory or Manufacturer and give them the model # and the serial # for the unit and they will have a breakdown of if it should be vented and what type of filtration it should be using. So if you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions.

Dust blowing out of my vaccuum cleaner

Usually when dust is blowing out it is caused by a clog, either the hose, or the dirt inlet down by the brush roll is clogged. Check them and clean them out and you should be ok.
