The problem is most likely bad capacitors. The may have used a bad batch, with many people having such issues. I understand it is difficult to get several of the caps out without ruining the board completely, so it may not be worth the time and effort it would take to replace them.

What problem is it that you are having?
If you want to upgrade you're CPU here is the Asus link for supported CPU's P4S800-MX motherboard.
http://support.asus.com/cpusupport/cpusupport.aspx?SLanguage=en-us&model=P4S800-MX
To the right of the list is the bios file that must be used to support the CPU.
If you need instruction on how to replace a CPU just let me know.

You'll just need to troubleshoot a little. 1: Try the monitor itself on a second PC. 2:If it doesn't work you've found your failing component. 3: If it does work try the PC<-->monitor cable on another PC. 4: See step 2. 5: If that also works, your graphics card is the only thing left. Take it out and put it in another PC. 6: Repeat step 2. 7: One of the components I listed should be the broken one. Of it isn't please post back here. I hope this helps, Yannick.
